The Team
Director/Producer Brad Rothschild is an award winning producer and writer with both a creative and a business background. He received a Masters in International Affairs and a Masters in Business Administration, both from Columbia University. From 1995-1997, he served as the Speechwriter and Director of Communications for the Mission of Israel to the United Nations.
Brad produced the award-winning documentary feature, Kinderblock 66: Return to Buchenwald. The film has screened in the Jerusalem Film Festival and in over 20 festivals in the United States and around the world. Brad directed the documentary film African Exodus, about the plight of Israel’s African refugees and the documentary film Tree Man, about the people who come to New York City to sell Christmas trees every holiday season. Tree Man won the Audience Award at the St. Lawrence International Film Festival. He is currently directing a documentary film about Raoul Wallenberg.
Editor/Producer Connor Kalista has been editing documentary features for over ten years. His work has screened at dozens of festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, AFI Fest and Sundance. Without Shepherds, a documentary about Pakistan, was awarded both Best Documentary and Best of Festival at the Brooklyn Film Festival. He is a proud alumnus and former instructor at The Edit Center, a highly-respected post-production training center in New York City. Last year, he completed work on The Talk: Race in America, a special for public television dealing with police brutality. He is currently working on season two of America Divided for Epix.
Director of Photography Daniel Kullman has been producing, writing, shooting, and editing content at Bitter Jester Studios in Chicago since 2003. As co-owner and co-producer at BJS, he brings more than just a “cameraman’s” approach to his work. Daniel has a range of experience in scripted narrative, commercial, documentary, and corporate work. He has won six regional Emmy Awards for producing, writing, cinematography, and editing. Some of his award-winning projects include a fast-paced pastry competition, a pitch for the Barack Obama Presidential Library, and a short documentary promoting two outstanding students at a college prep school devoted to children living below the poverty line. Daniel’s work has brought him to dozens of states as well as Angola, Cuba, England, and most recently Hong Kong. His latest projects have been featured on Bloomberg TV’s Brilliant Ideas and the web series Easy Abby, which has 30 million aggregate views.
Producer Juliet Di Frenza is an experienced fundraiser with a background in both nonprofit advocacy and public relations. Drawing from her previous experience, Juliet has recently transitioned into film financing, joining the team in the Spring of 2018. With a passion for social justice and seeing projects off the ground, she’s committed to delivering They Ain’t Ready for Me to a wide audience.
